Dangerous situation on Route 142 East, as it continues onto Northern Drive

There is an intersection in Troy, on route 142 (125th street), just east of the traffic light at New Turnpike Rd. One lane splits into two. The right lane goes right (onto 5th ave) or straight (remaining on 125th street) and the left lane remains on route 142 (Northern Drive, at this point). The arrows on the road are completely gone, as are the lane lines, and I can't tell you how many times I've been almost sideswiped by cars in the right lane, turning left on Northern Drive. At least 90% of cars remaining on Route 142 (Northern Drive) make that left turn from the right lane. Could new lines and arrows please be painted in that area?? Thanks! Nancy Victor
